How to Take Advantage of WSOP.com Signup Offer

To make the most of this offer, make sure to read the terms and conditions thoroughly. We have summarised some of the key points for you here:

  • Maximize your first deposit: The strategy here is twofold. Firstly, the deposit match bonus up to $1,000 only qualifies on your first deposit. Therefore, if your first deposit is $50, you qualify for a $50 deposit match versus if your first deposit is $1,000 then you qualify for a $1000 deposit match. Secondly, the offer of up to $100 in WSOP free play also depends on the amount of your first deposit. Depositing $10-$250 will get you a $25 bonus, depositing $251-$500 will get you a $50 bonus, Depositing $501-$999 will get you a $75 bonus and anything over $1000 will return you $100 in free play. Only deposit what you can comfortably afford.
  • Understand the playthrough requirements: The bonus is released in increments as you accumulate Action Player Points (APPs) through real-money play. We discuss this in more depth in the Terms and Conditions section below.

Play WSOP Signup Bonus Terms and Conditions

We always recommend reading the terms and conditions in full for any promotions but here are some of the key points we want to highlight from the WSOP Sign Up offer terms:

  • The Welcome bonus is only valid for new registering players in Michigan, Nevada, and New Jersey
  • Players must be 21 or older
  • The deposit match bonus is earned in increments by collecting player points. Every 50 points earned will release $5 of your bonus. Ring Games will award 2 points for every $1 in rake collected at the table and Tournaments will earn 2 points for every $1 in fees paid. You can make more deposits if needed to fulfil the points requirement but this will not increase your eligible bonus amount.
  • Free play bonuses from the $100 free play will expire after 7 days
  • Free Tournament tickets will expire after 14 days
  • Daily free spins are valid for 24 hours

Devices & Usability

The WSOP Platform can be downloaded for both desktop and mobile devices. The desktop app can be downloaded directly from the WSOP website whereas the mobile apps can be downloaded from the iOS App Store and Google Play Store. While the site and app may not be the most modern in terms of visuals, we found them to have zero issues with functionality or game selection. Players are able to play at 10 tables simultaneously on a desktop device and 4 tables simultaneously on mobile devices.

WSOP is powered by 888poker’s software and tools. In the past decade 888poker has taken great care in revamping their poker software, skyrocketing it to the top standard in the industry. The entire WSOP online poker platform in the US is now run on Poker 8, offering a much more feature-rich experience for online poker players than its older 888poker software.

Are Heads-Up Display (HUD) Tools Permitted on WSOP Online?

No, WSOP Online does not permit the use of any heads-up display (HUD) software. The platform has made a clear commitment to fair play and the integrity of its games, so it proactively blocks and monitors for the use of external tools that gather hand histories or provide players with edge-giving statistical overlays. This means whether you're a fan of PokerTracker, Hold'em Manager, or any similar software, you'll need to go without while playing on WSOP Online. If you're seeking a truly level playing field, this restriction should help provide peace of mind.

Customizable Player Limits

For players looking to maintain control over their experience, the WSOP online platform makes it straightforward to set a wide range of personal limits via the Responsible Gambling section found within your account settings. Here, you can tailor how you play by configuring the following options to suit your needs:

  • Set deposit limits: Protect your bankroll by capping the amount you can deposit on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis.
  • Restrict tournament and cash game spend: Choose maximums for how much you spend on tournament entries or cash game buy-ins within a given timeframe.
  • Net loss limits: Keep your session in check by setting daily or weekly caps on your potential net losses.
  • Session time limits: Define the total amount of time you want to allow yourself to be logged in each day.
  • Take a break: If you ever need a timeout, you can activate a “cooling off” period, pausing your play for anywhere from a few days up to five months.

These customizable options empower you to shape your poker experience, helping to ensure play remains fun and within your own comfort zone.

Responsible Gambling Tools & Resources

As with any reputable poker platform, WSOP provides a full suite of responsible gambling resources to ensure players can stay in control of their play. Whether you’re looking to set personal boundaries or need support navigating gambling-related concerns, you’ll find several helpful features built directly into the platform.

Here’s a quick overview of what’s available to you:

  • Deposit Limits: You can set daily, weekly, or monthly deposit limits—perfect for keeping your bankroll in check.
  • Bet and Loss Limits: Control your exposure further by capping the total amount you can wager or lose over specific timeframes.
  • Session Time Limits: Set daily time limits to manage how long you’re playing each day.
  • Tournament and Cash Game Controls: Specify how much you’re comfortable spending on tournament buy-ins or cash game entries.
  • “Cooling-Off” Periods: Take a break from poker for anywhere from a single day to five months, no questions asked.
  • Access to Support: Resources, articles, and helplines—including connections to organizations like the National Council on Problem Gambling—are easily accessible through your account dashboard and support channels.

These tools can be found in your account’s responsible gambling section. We always recommend making use of them early and often to keep the poker experience fun, fair, and sustainable.

Common WSOP Online Poker Software Issues

While the WSOP platform excels in reliability and game variety, there are a few quirks and challenges that players might encounter during regular use:

  • Geolocation hiccups: If you’re close to a state border, the software may have trouble pinpointing your location, occasionally resulting in frustrating access denials or interruptions during play.
  • Scrolling oddities: Navigating the cash game or tournament lists on desktop—especially with a laptop trackpad—can sometimes send you zipping past your intended selection, making game browsing less smooth than you’d hope.
  • Tournament info gaps: The tournament lobby could stand to be clearer about which events finish with a live, in-person final table. Some players may not realize until after registering that they’ll need to travel for that final showdown.

Despite these minor headaches, many consider WSOP’s overall experience solid and a cut above most competition.

Online Gold Bracelet Events

The 2024 WSOP Online Bracelet Events series marks a significant evolution in online poker, offering the opportunity to compete for a coveted WSOP Gold Bracelet from the comfort of your own home. The series typically takes place each year during June and July. Buyins start as low as $215 and events run each day of the series. In 2024, there were 7 bracelets to compete for in Pennsylvania and 30 bracelets given out in Nevada, Michigan, and New Jersey. 5 of the 30 events were hybrids meaning they started online and then finished with the live final table taking place at the main WSOP event in Las Vegas. We'll be keeping our eye out for the 2025 schedule release in early 2025.

WSOP Cash Games

While WSOP may be known for its tournament offerings, there is no shortage of traffic at the cash game tables. Similarly to tournaments, you can easily find a table that’s right for you with the many filters to narrow your search. Begin by selecting the type of game you want to play - Texas Hold’em, Omaha, or Stud and below that you can select the limit type. Toggle between table availability and narrow the search further with the stake size filter.

Once you’ve found the table of your choice, click it once to preview the players at the table in the Table Information box. Stakes start as low as $0.01 and get as high as $200. While cash games are running at all times of the day, the busiest hours are during the east coast evening.

To give you a sense of what’s available, here’s a snapshot of typical ring game traffic during a quieter weekday afternoon around 3 PM ET:

  • Texas Hold’em Cash Games: Active tables at stakes up to $25/$50 No Limit, and full six-seat tables up to $5/$10 No Limit.
  • Omaha Cash Games: Full six-seat tables running up to $5/$10 Pot Limit.
  • Omaha Hi/Lo Cash Games: Full six-seat tables up to $2/$5 Pot Limit.

While the action is always strongest in Texas Hold’em, Omaha and Omaha Hi/Lo tables also draw steady crowds—especially during peak hours. It’s worth noting that Omaha Hi/Lo, in particular, often sees more players at the highest stakes than at the smallest, making for tougher games that typically attract seasoned players. Whether you’re a micro-stakes grinder or prefer higher limits, there’s usually a seat waiting for you.

Omaha Hi/Lo Game Traffic

When it comes to Omaha Hi/Lo tables, you'll notice a distinct difference in player traffic compared to the ever-popular Texas Hold'em or regular Omaha games. Omaha Hi/Lo generally sees fewer players, and tables aren’t as populated—especially outside of primetime hours.

Interestingly, the tables that do see action are usually at higher stakes. This means that you'll often find more seasoned, experienced players competing for bigger pots rather than beginners dabbling at the micro limits. For those looking for softer games or just starting out with Omaha Hi/Lo, this might mean a tougher field and more challenging competition at most times. However, the dedicated fanbase and action at bigger stakes also make it a prime spot for skilled players interested in testing themselves against strong opposition.

WSOP Online Tournaments

While the WSOP website or app may not be flashy or exciting, it boasts an extremely functional and robust filter and search system, allowing players to find exactly what type of game they are looking for. In the Play WSOP Poker lobby, you can filter by game variant, stake size, table size, open/full tables, limit type, and more.

Tournaments run daily throughout the week with varying payouts. Its flagship Sunday Tournament boasts a guaranteed $100k prize pool for a $320 buy-in. The tournament starts at 3pm each Sunday with satellites running throughout the week.

WSOP BLAST Tournaments

One unique twist in the WSOP Online tournament lineup is the BLAST tournament—a super-turbo Sit & Go that adds an element of surprise to your poker session. In each BLAST, four players buy in at stakes ranging from $0.30 up to $50, and before the first hand is even dealt, the system randomly determines the total prize pool. This can be anything from double your buy-in to a whopping 10,000 times the entry fee, meaning you could be playing for up to $500,000 in a $50 BLAST.

How BLAST Tournaments Work

  • Four players per table: Once all seats are filled, the random prize pool is revealed and the action begins.
  • Super-fast structure: BLASTs move quickly, with blinds increasing every two minutes for three to six rounds. After that, every hand becomes all-in until a winner emerges, keeping things high-energy and unpredictable.
  • Minimal time commitment: These games are perfect if you’re looking to squeeze in a fast tournament, usually wrapping up in under fifteen minutes.

Prize Structures

The prize distribution changes depending on the multiplier assigned to your tournament:

  • 2x multiplier: Winner takes all.
  • 5x multiplier: 1st place receives 70%, while 2nd takes 30%.
  • 10x–100x multipliers: Split among the top three—1st (60%), 2nd (25%), and 3rd (15%).
  • 1,000x and higher: All four players cash—1st (60%), 2nd (20%), 3rd (10%), and 4th (10%).

Multiplier Odds

While the headline-making 1,000x and 10,000x multipliers are technically up for grabs, most BLAST tournaments will end up with a lower multiplier, like 2x or 3x. For example, in a $30 BLAST, the million-dollar top prize only comes around once every million games, while the vast majority of tournaments award smaller, but still meaningful, prize pools.

BLAST tournaments make for an exciting, fast-paced option whether you want to chase a huge payday or just enjoy a quick Sit & Go with a twist.

Event Sattelites

WSOP Online offers an extensive array of satellite tournaments, providing players with opportunities to win seats in prestigious events at a fraction of the cost. These satellites run regularly throughout the year, with frequency increasing as major tournaments approach.

Main Event Satellites: The most coveted satellite tournaments are those for the WSOP Main Event. Starting at buy-ins as low as $0.01, players can work their way up through multiple tiers of satellites. The top prize typically includes the $10,000 Main Event buy-in, along with travel expenses and accommodation in Las Vegas.

Daily Satellites: Play WSOP Online hosts daily satellites for various bracelet events. These tournaments offer excellent value, with buy-ins ranging from $240 to $580, awarding tournament credits that can be used for higher buy-in events.

Specialty Satellites: For players interested in non-Hold'em variants, WSOP Online runs satellites for events like PLO, Omaha Hi-Lo, and mixed games. These usually occur closer to the specific event dates.

Landmark Mega Satellites: During the WSOP, special "landmark" satellites are held with larger fields and multiple seats guaranteed. These offer great value for players looking to satellite into high-roller events or the Main Event.
